What your website could look like.
Belltower Digital is a new studio, so instead of a wall of client logos, here are three working websites for places that don’t exist: a small town, a county and a water district. Click through them the way a resident would. Each one is built and tested to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the same as a real project.
-
Town · about 4,200 residents
Town of Harrow Falls
A small-town site built around the things residents come to do.
- An emergency alert that sits above everything else, on every page
- Six popular services on the home page, from paying a water bill to reporting a pothole
- A council agenda published as a web page, with the rate change and the bids in real tables
- An events calendar, and a business directory you can search and filter
- A report-a-problem form with clear labels, hints and required answers
-
County · about 96,000 residents
Larch County
A county site that gets people to the right office quickly.
- An “I want to” list that jumps straight to the office that can help
- A department directory in a table that screen readers can follow
- A rezoning hearing notice in plain language, with the map described in words
- Meeting dates, a tax deadline, and jobs with their pay and closing dates
-
Special district · water utility
Kestrel Valley Water District
A utility site that answers the first thing customers ask: is my water on?
- Service status at the top, spelled out in words, not just shown in color
- Planned work with dates, times and what to expect
- Tiered rates with a worked example bill
- Water test results compared with federal limits, in a table a screen reader can follow
Everything in the examples is made up: the places, people, prices, test results and dates. Phone numbers use the 555-01xx range set aside for fiction, and email addresses end in .example, a name reserved so that it can never belong to anyone.
